The SOMA Surgical Promise
Our cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Condoleon, has served countless patients over the last few years. He brings a wealth of experience to the operating room as he skillfully performs complex procedures.
By reducing excess tissue or asymmetry, labiaplasty can alleviate discomfort during physical activities, such as exercise and sexual intercourse, or even when wearing tight clothing.
Complementary Procedures:

Labiaplasty Overview
A labiaplasty is typically performed under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on your preference and the complexity of the procedure. The surgery itself typically takes around 1 to 2 hours.
During the procedure, Dr. Condoleon will make small, precise incisions along the labia minora to remove excess tissue. He will carefully shape the labia to improve symmetry and natural appearance, while preserving sensitivity and function. The incisions are then closed with dissolvable sutures, which will not require removal.
Labiaplasty is minimally invasive, and most patients only experience minor discomfort after surgery.
Recovery and Aftercare
While labiaplasty is a relatively low-risk procedure, proper care during recovery is essential for optimal results. Full recovery takes about 1 to 2 weeks, but most patients return to light activity within a few days.
Here’s what to expect during recovery:
- Swelling and Bruising: Some swelling and bruising are normal after the procedure. These symptoms usually subside within the first couple of weeks.
- Discomfort: Mild discomfort or tenderness may occur, but this can be managed with prescribed pain medication.
- Avoid Sexual Activity: You will need to avoid sexual intercourse for at least 4 to 6 weeks after the procedure to ensure proper healing.
- Follow-Up Appointments: You will have follow-up visits with Dr. Condoleon to monitor your healing process and verify that your results meet your expectations.
